Jewish Information Class – Intro to Judaism

Rabbi Dan Moskovitz and Rabbi Carey Brown offer a Jewish Information Class (JIC) for individuals who are seriously contemplating converting to Judaism. The course, which meets on Tuesday evenings, runs from September (after the High Holy Days) through to June enabling participants to experience a full Jewish calendar year.

The first forty-five minutes of each class is spent learning how to read and understand Hebrew. The next hour and a half of class time includes instruction regarding the Jewish lifecycle, holidays and traditions, Jewish history and culture, the Holocaust, Israel and Torah.

Registration for this class begins in the Spring prior to the beginning of class. If you are interested, please call the synagogue, 604.266.7190, to make an appointment with Rabbi Carey Brown.
