Jewish Information Class (JIC)

The Jewish Information Class (JIC) at Temple Sholom is an immersive experience for those who are exploring conversion to Judaism and/or interfaith couples looking to learn more about Judaism.

The course is taught by Rabbi Brown, Rabbi Moskovitz, and Cantor Taussig and includes sessions on holidays, life cycle, history, theology, as well as Hebrew language. Students are expected to engage deeply in Jewish living as they are enrolled in JIC, including regular Shabbat service attendance and Jewish engagement at home and in the community.

The JIC class meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:30pm from September through March.

Taste of Judaism
Taste of Judaism is a broadly themed course to share some of the basic values and practices of Judaism. It is a great entry point for anyone who is curious to learn more about Judaism. The upcoming dates for the 2018 Taste of Judaism course are:
