Life After Hate: Tshuvah of a White Supremacist

Tony McAleer

Saturday, September 16, 2017

8:00pm: Life After Hate Program
9:30pm: Refreshments & Conversation
10:00pm: Havdallah & Selichot Service

Temple Sholom is pleased to welcome Tony McAleer, co-founder of Life After Hate, and Dov Baron, renowned leadership consultant and author, for an evening of conversation about one man’s personal journey from extreme hate to compassion and tolerance.

Dov Baron

A former organizer for the White Aryan Resistance, Tony McAleer served as a skinhead recruiter and proprietor of Canadian Liberty Net (a computer-operated voice messaging centre). He was eventually found to have contravened Section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act, which prohibits the dissemination of telephone messages likely to expose groups to hatred. His chance meeting with Dov Baron and their ensuing friendship led Tony from a life of intolerance and racism to a path of love and repair.

Join Rabbi Moskovitz, Tony McAleer and Dov Baron for this honest, personal and timely discussion as we prepare our souls for the High Holy Days during the period of Selichot.

This event is free and open to the community, however pre-registration is required.
Please register online, call 604 266 7190 or email info@templesholom.ca to confirm your attendance.
