Men's Club

The mission of the Temple Sholom Men's Club is to create a comfortable setting where busy men can meet from time to time to learn from each other, schmooze and assist in Temple activities.

The Men's Club provides networking opportunities, promotes Jewish values, and encourages life-long learning and leadership. Its volunteers are integrally involved in the synagogue and the greater Jewish community. The Men's Club prides itself on its lack of structure and formality and is characterized by its freedom from "administrivia."

Men’s Club Go Kart Race
On June 24th 5 of us had a race on the mini Formula 1 indoor course in Richmond. All who could not make it missed an exciting evening. Another one will be planed for the fall and hopefully we will have a larger turnout.
Marty Billinkoff had the best lap times but only by a second or two. Len Hamm was second. Robert Desormeau was third. Les Baker fourth and Syd Kirson came in fifth. After the race we all went to Tim Horton’s for a much deserved coffee and donut where we rehashed our times and agreed that the last recorded lap should not have counted in the overall average lap time because it was run under an ORANGE light, not that it would have made a big difference in my times anyway.
Have a safe summer,
Robert Desormeau
