I'm Hannah Leyland, the new senior youth group advisor for Temple Sholom. I am a fellow member of our wonderful congregation. I have been teaching preschool/kindergarten at the Sunday school and I am looking forward to my new responsibilities! The senior youth group (TSY) is for teens, grade 8 to 12. There's many fun events such as snow tubing, Purim parties and Playland Adventures. TSY will be transitioning to only using email and facebook to communicate with our members.

Each of our youth groups provides opportunities for Jewish programming, leadership development, community building and social action. Activities during the year include an Adventure Leadership Ropes Course, Chanukah Party Extravaganza, Theatersports with the Chutzpah Festival, Mystery Bus Tour and Feeding the Homeless Program.
TSY is affiliated with the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY). Periodically during the year, we gather for exciting retreats with our neighbors in Washington and Oregon. For more info, visit www.nfty.org/nw.
