Yom HaShoah Commemoration
Join us for an evening of commemoration as we mark the 83rd anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, a testament to resistance and courage in the face of oppression.
The program will feature a keynote address by Holocaust survivor Malka Pischanitskaya (who will be introduced by her granddaughter Sofie) and her daughter and second-generation descendant Inna Turner. Rabbi Dan Moskovitz also provide remarks and Cantor Cohen will direct the musical program, with contributions from Eric Wilson on cello, Erin Marks on oboe and Wendy Bross Stuart, the associate music director, on piano. Songs and prayers of remembrance will be performed by singers who are descendants of Holocaust survivors.
This event honours survivors and provides a space to remember and mourn, while inviting us all to renew our commitment to never forget.
Holocaust survivors will be invited to participate in a candle-lighting ceremony.
This is a free event open to the public; no RSVP is required.

We will be making a vegetarian soup which will be frozen in containers at Temple and be available for delivery to those congregants who need some tender loving care.

Join us for a thoughtful and timely 8-session learning series taught by Rabbi Carey Brown and Rabbi Dan Moskovitz, based on the acclaimed iEngage curriculum from the Shalom Hartman Institute.
In this course, we will explore the core tensions and values of liberal Zionism in a post–October 7 reality. Together, we’ll explore dominant critiques of Israel and Zionism, grapple with moral complexity, and develop frameworks for teaching and talking about Israel in a time of war — with courage, compassion, and clarity.
This course is designed for those seeking a deeper understanding, honest conversation, and meaningful tools to engage their communities during an especially challenging moment for the Jewish world.

Yom HaShoah Commemoration
Join us for an evening of commemoration as we mark the 83rd anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, a testament to resistance and courage in the face of oppression.
The program will feature a keynote address by Holocaust survivor Malka Pischanitskaya (who will be introduced by her granddaughter Sofie) and her daughter and second-generation descendant Inna Turner. Rabbi Dan Moskovitz also provide remarks and Cantor Cohen will direct the musical program, with contributions from Eric Wilson on cello, Erin Marks on oboe and Wendy Bross Stuart, the associate music director, on piano. Songs and prayers of remembrance will be performed by singers who are descendants of Holocaust survivors.
This event honours survivors and provides a space to remember and mourn, while inviting us all to renew our commitment to never forget.
Holocaust survivors will be invited to participate in a candle-lighting ceremony.
This is a free event open to the public; no RSVP is required.

In this course, we will explore the core tensions and values of liberal Zionism in a post–October 7 reality.
