Friday, July 25 at 5:30 pm at 4850 St Catherines St, Vancouver
Young families are invited to join us at the park for a family-friendly service, sing-along, and a Shabbat story, led by Rabbi Dan and our song-leader, Annette Kozicki.
Registration is not required - just show up and bring your own picnic (optional) and a blanket!

Join scintillating soprano Chloé Hurst and scruffy baritone Aaron Durand on a 250-year journey through this beautiful art form. Together, we'll explore the first comedic opera, sparkling bel canto music, lush and romantic Czech writing, and so much more. This is Opera 101 Vancouver!
Lunch is hosted by the Jewish Women International Foundation BC (JWI BC), in memory of Sara Ciacci z"l and her legacy of supporting food security in Vancouver. Donations to Temple Sholom's Caring Community Fund, in honour of Sara's legacy, at the time of registration will be greatly appreciated.

My Broadway Shpiel brings the Jewish side of Broadway to the stage in an act filled with laughter, tears and a dash of guilt! Selections include music from; West Side story, Fiddler On The Roof, The Last Five Years, Les Miserables and La Cage Aux Folles, along with some original music and Omer's own personal favorites.
With an angelic voice, lots of personality and a great sense of humor, Omer Shaish showcases the best of Broadway from a Jewish state of mind!
Proceeds from the concert go towards Temple Sholom’s campership program.

Bio: Omer Shaish was born and raised in Israel and has performed as a young actor atHabima National Theater and Beit Lessin Theater in Tel Aviv. In 2007 he moved to NewYork City and has graduated from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. His theater credits include the Radio City Christmas Spectacular (Radio City, NYC), TheVocaPeople (New World Stages, NYC) the US National Tour of Seussical, and the IsraeliNational Premier of Spring Awakening.
Omer has performed as a vocalist in prestigiousvenues such as Lincoln Center, Radio City, ICC Center in Jerusalem, Toronto Center Ofthe Arts, and Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City. He also performed as a soloist at theCelebrity Fight Night (Florence, Italy), featuring Andrea Bocelli, George Clooney andLionel Richie. Since 2015, Omer has been touring the world as a lead singer in the classical vocal trioKol Esperanza, as well as his self-produced show My Broadway Shpiel. In 2022, heportrayed the role of Ilmarinen in the Kalevala Broadway concept album alongsideRamin Karimloo and Julia Murney.
