REMEMBRANCE DAY COMMEMORATION

We will be joined by Master Corporal David Carenza and Lieutenant Adam Braverman.

Master Corporal David Carenza

David has been with the Seaforth Highlanders for over five years now. He spent 3 years as a C9 Light machine gunner in A-coy, Trained Assault pioneer and spent 2 years in Pioneer Platoon and now and after completing Primary leadership qualification and the Sergeant’s course he is working as an NCO at the unit Level.Among his responsibilities is Depot Platoon NCO, IC of 2 section. He is responsible for physical training and teaching newly trained solider in preparation for their upcoming infantry course in summer 2026.

Lieutenant Adam Braverman

Adam was born in Boston, Massachusetts but raised in the Vancouver neighbourhoods of Kerrisdale and Dunbar. Bar Mitzvahed and married to his high school sweetheart Erin at Beth Israel synagogue, his family have been members of Temple Sholom for many years now. Working in the Film and Television industry since 2005, Adam joined the Canadian Armed Forces as a reservist serving with the British Columbia Regiment as an Armoured Officer from December 2020. In recent years he has moulded his passion for service with a commitment to stand up for his Jewish community and advocate for what it means to be a Jewish Canadian. He is honoured to be representing the CAF and his community at this evening's Remembrance Day Shabbat Service.
